Does someone want to explain to me why my drawing 2 teacher is having us draw sheets of paper in class and copying other artists art for homework? I know I'm not exactly going to an "art school" and what-not, but seriously, come on. I don't want to go to this class for three hours to just end up drawing the corner of the room because the teacher can't think of anything better for us to do. ("um, so yeah, we're going to draw from life today. So, um, half of you turn that way and draw that cabinet and the other half turn that way and draw that ladder. k Thks") We've drawn so many still lifes i want to kill myself. And not like the still lifes I drew in drawing 1, oh no. I went from drawing skeletons and parachutes and broken statues to drawing tables, paper, and milk cartons. I'M STILL GOING TO THE SAME SCHOOL, WTF HAPPENED?

what really pisses me off most I discovered this last week. I remember when i first signed up for this class i was super excited, but all the mind-numbing perspective drawing practice made me forget why. Well, signing up for next's semester's classes, i re-read the description for drawing 2. "focuses on the human figure and portraits".

...IT'S MIDTERM AND I'M DRAWING A GODDAMN CABINET.
